Kilometre Club (KM Club) is a popular activity that is open to all members of the school community and is run by staff.
Sessions are held 3 days a week on the school oval during Terms 1 and 2, in the morning before classes start. Beginning with a warm-up and stretching session at 8.00am, all students have until 8.35am to make their way - either walking or running - around the oval as many times as they wish to clock up a tally of kilometres.
KM Club serves as the perfect pre-cursor training regime for the School Cross Country that is traditionally held in Term 2, correlating with the Regional Cross Country dates. Students wishing to take part in the competitive component of our School Cross Country MUST BE actively involved members of KM Club.
Rainworth has two artificial grass courts situated in a bushland setting towards the rear of the school grounds (access is also available from Main Avenue, beside the Prep buildings). Children make use of the courts at lunchtimes and for tennis lessons.
Run by The Gap Health and Racquet Club, coaching is provided to interested students from Prep to Year 6. Sessions are held before class or during lunchtimes, depending on the year level. Tennis fixtures, holiday tennis clinics and tournaments are also held. Fees are paid direct to The Gap Health and Racquet Club for lessons.
Tennis court hire
The school's tennis courts are available to hire at $10 per hour during the day and $15 per hour when the lights are used. Please direct your enquiries regarding hiring the tennis courts to www.rainworthtennis.com.
