Inclusive Support
All students benefit, academically and socially, when provided with a high quality inclusive education.
At Rainworth State School, we understand that students experience inclusive education when they can access and fully participate in learning, alongside their similar-aged peers, supported by reasonable adjustments, teaching strategies and targeted support programs that are tailored to meet their individual needs. Inclusion is embedded in all aspects of everyday school life.
Rainworth State School has a whole school approach to differentiated teaching and learning. We respond to the diverse needs of our students by identifying differentiated teaching and learning to support every student to access and participate in the curriculum and achieve their best.
Our Student Support Team (SST) collaborates with Classroom Teachers, Parents and other specialists to identify and respond to the changing learning needs of our students and optimise their educational and social outcomes. We plan and deliver needs-based support programs and/or classroom adjustments that target identified individual needs, designed to support every student to flourish.
The Student Support Team comprises of our Principal, Deputy-Principal, Guidance Officer, Support Teacher Literacy and Numeracy (STLaN), Inclusive Practices Coordinator (IPC), Gifted Education Mentor (GEM) and visiting Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and Advisory Visiting Teacher-Inclusion (AVT).
