Special event - Science Expo (Biennial)

Our inaugural Science Expo was held in 2013, and was received exceptionally well by children, parents and staff. We ran our next event in 2015.

Our 2017 Science Expo was just as exciting, as we delved into many areas of science across our Year 1-6 classes. It took place on Friday September 8.

Our next Science Expo is scheduled to take place in 2019. We can't wait!

Student Involvement

The expo is set up on the synthetic grass area at the front of admin, under marquees. Each class will set up their own experiments/demonstrations at their science station, to share with the rest of the school. These experiments / demonstrations will be facilitated by members of each class while other students move around the expo. The experiments will be as interactive as possible.
This interactive session runs from 12noon until 3pm.

Parent Involvement

Parents are more than welcome to take part in the expo, either by assisting their child's class with set-up or simply coming along to enjoy the experience. We are also keen to borrow more marquees to house the event, so if you have access to one that we can borrow, please contact our Deputy Principal, Mr Stephen Stocker, on 3514 9444 closer to the event.

Hearing From the Experts

An important part of the Science Expo is hearing from the experts. In 2017, Dr Joe demonstrated hands-on, interactive science experiments for our students in the hall, prior to the general expo taking place.
