Special event - Rainbow Carnival

Sunday August 26, 2018

9am - 3pm

Traditionally held on the last Sunday in August, the iconic Rainbow Carnival is a staple on the local communities' social calendar, offering a fun day for the whole family with great entertainment. The carnival is the major fundraising opportunity for Rainworth State School and it's huge success is due to the dedication and involvement of school families and staff, and the wonderful support of many local businesses.

Offering activities and stalls to suit everyone in the family, the carnival usually boasts an array of ever-popular carnival stalwarts, such as:
  • Cakes and Baked Goods Stall - freshly baked and packaged for you to take home or devour on the day!

  • Gourmet Stall - jams, preserves, butters, chutneys, tapenades... the mouth-watering list is endless!

  • Garden Stall - green thumb or not, you'll find loads of items for the garden and the home here. From yukkas and succulents, orchids and pansies, natives and herbs, to bromeliads and agaves, plus everything in between.

  • Sweet Treats - the name says it all. Fudge, toffee, salted caramel, peanut brittle, coconut ice, rocky road and more. It's a sweet-tooth's paradise!

  • Pre-loved Children's Clothing and Toys - perfect place to grab a bargain.

  • Book Stall - grab a great read and save! DVDs and good-quality books for all members of the family.

  • Hoopla Stall - popular with the kids as it's their chance to win a bottle of softdrink.

  • Pocket Money Stall - the kids love this one! Show Bags galore and the best place to get a lot for a little.

  • Auction - don't miss out on making a bid for some fantastic prizes again this year!

  • Adult Bottles Stall - wine, champagne, beer, spirits, liqueurs... buy a ticket and see what your number scores (adult-only stall).

  • Face Painting - our talented senior students and parents put their artistic skills to use to brighten up the children's already happy faces!

  • Wheelbarrow Raffle - what better way to give dad a super Father's Day gift than by winning him the Wheelbarrow Raffle. Overflowing with items, tickets are available on the day. Don't miss it.

Feeding the Hoardes

  • Burgers and Sausages

  • Sushi

  • Rainbow Cafe - sit down and enjoy a coffee / tea. Delicious cakes, biscuits, muffins, cupcakes, sandwiches and more.

  • Sno Cones and Fairy Floss

  • Carnival Bar - alcoholic beverages available all day, light food options on offer, too. Be entertained by local musicians. The Bar stays open until 6pm.

  • Drinks Stall - softdrink, water and fruit juice poppers available.
