Students Stretch Themselves at UNSW Competitions

The University of NSW (UNSW) tests have always been popular with Rainworth State School students and this year was no exception, with 56 students taking part in the Science competition, 63 sitting for the Maths competition and 55 tackling the English competition.
Offered to our Year 4-7 students, these tests are ideal for the students, their parents and the school to gain a great deal of information on the children's ability in Maths, Science and English. It gives the teacher diagnostic information enabling them to pinpoint areas of strengths and weaknesses.
Involvement in the competition is optional and a fee is involved. Students were given the opportunity to commit to the series in April.
Staged throughout the year, the Science competition ran in June and students this week completed the English paper. The final competition for 2013 will be the Maths competition on Tuesday August 13.
