Secretary disseminates information to the P&C executive, the school and the greater community. Media objectives are to communicate positive awareness of the unique qualities of the school, via:

- Web Site
Treasurer manages the finances of all P&C matters including: grants, voluntary contributions, fundraising and school services such as tuckshop and uniform shop.

Student Support Early Childhood To support and enhance the Early Years Curriculum and Philosophy offered at Rainworth State School (Prep – Year 3) in order to ensure the best possible social, physical, emotional, and educational outcomes for each child.
Objectives:
- To reinforce the commitment RSS has to provide excellent Early Years Education based on sound early childhood philosophy.
- To highlight the importance of the Early Years as a foundation for children to develop a life long love of learning.
- To liaise closely with the Early Childhood Teachers to identify where P&C support is needed.
- To plan and provide support as an extra to EQ basic allocation of teacher aide hours in Prep.
- To stimulate parental involvement in their child’s education from the outset.
- To foster the sense of RSS as a community.
- To encourage parent involvement in the P&C from the start.
Student Support Health and P.E. The Health and Physical Education (HPE ) Support Group was started by parents and friends of RSS to support the school with its Health and Physical Education programs. The aim of these programs is to improve children’s understanding of health, and encourage them to be involved in some form of physical activity, to improve both gross and fine motor skills.
Our vision is to foster in children, a positive life-long understanding of the benefits of health and fitness. We are doing this by implementing government health guidelines and developing exciting health initiatives. The RSS community recognises the importance of instilling health values, knowledge and skills in the developing years – the child of today is the adult of tomorrow. Our aim is to be ‘Fit for life’.
Support is provided across a number of areas including:
- Curriculum Support and Policy
- Grant Applications
- Nutrition / Tuckshop
- Physical activity at school for students, parents and community
- Interschool Sport
- Sporting environment, equipment and uniforms
Student Support Kilometre Club Helps to get the whole community moving in the morning! For 10 weeks during the Autumn months this club operates on the school oval, three mornings/ week before school starts.
All community members are welcome to attend. The emphasis is on participation and improving health and fitness.
Student Support Cultural Support This group aims to provide assistance to students and staff across the following areas:
- Music
- Art
- Italian
- Dance
- Drama
Support is often required in the lead up to performances and extension activities.
These include the annual Musical Evening, Carnivale / Italian Day, Choir competitions and Creative Generations on Stage.
Student Support Resource Maintenance Aims to:
- provide on going support with maintenance of school resources across all learning areas.
- offer task support to all teachers.
- provide an opportunity to parents to mix with other parents across all year levels whilst helping at school.
- provide an 'at home' help service to parents who can’t make it to school, but do still want to help.

Services Tuckshop On Monday, Wednesday and Friday the Rainworth Tuckshop is open for business. Rosie Nutley our fantastic tuckshop convenor, is assisted by volunteer parents to help with the running of this service. Our tuckshop is run to Education Qld’s Healthy Nutrition Guidelines for schools. Time spent helping on tuckshop is a great way to meet other parents and your kids will love to see you there! If you would like to help but can’t be there during school time, assisting with homebaking for the tuckshop may be a great option for you.
Services Uniform Shop The onsite uniform shop at Rainworth is run by a band of volunteers
. This shop is open
Wednesdays 8.30–9.15 am and Thursdays 2.45–3.10 pm. and supplies all the clothing needs for Rainworth Kids from uniforms to swimming caps. Helping with this service provides another great opportunity to meet other parents and assist the school.
Services Tennis Committee This group looks after our tennis facility. They take care of the Rainworth Family Tennis Club as well as the maintenance of the courts and the hiring of them to the public. Tennis court bookings: 0417 785 702 or via email

Capital Works Grants / Funding This group are always scouting for new Government Grants and Funding opportunities to help turn our visions for the school into reality. They work with all groups on the P&C and the administration staff in the writing of submissions to acquire funds and then, if successful, to acquit those funds in accordance with the funding guidelines.
Capital Works Grounds Improvements This sub- committee works closely with the Sustainability Group and the school Principal and Groundsman to ensure our school grounds are kept safe and well maintained for student and community use. There are always improvements that can be made to our beautiful natural bush environment - and these are achieved through week-end Working Bees. All families are encouraged to attend – the work gets done and there is always a lot of social interaction and laughter along the way. Look out for the next one in the newsletter or on the website.
Capital Works Sustainability The Sustainability Group is working towards a greener future at RSS through the implementation of a detailed action plan in the following areas: increasing energy and water use efficiencies, recycling waste and revegetating the school grounds.
Capital Works Road Safety / Active Travel This group works to keep our children safe travelling to and from school. It works closely with the Brisbane City Council in developing safety strategies and initiatives to encourage the healthy use of “body power” to get to and from school.

Capital Works Projects This sub- committee oversees our capital works initiatives from planning stage to completion. It deals with the nitty gritty of these P&C projects, from design and tendering to overseeing the actual building of the project. This group has delivered the Multi Purpose room, the Art Room and La Piazza to name a few. The projects currently being worked on are the Outdoor Well-Being Classroom Project and the upgrade to the Prep Playground.

Social and Fundraising Social Events This is a fun group to be involved in. From family Welcome functions to the adult only Trivia and ‘Strictly’ nights, this group concentrates on the social side of school life. Parents and families getting together and forging friendships that in many cases are set to last a life time
Social and Fundraising Parent Reps Liaison Every year, every class throughout the school needs a parent representative or two. These reps. liaise with the class teacher, parents and the P&C to help disseminate information and plan social events for their class families
